3 Cherokee county armed robbery suspects are indicted

Three individuals, one female and two males, were indicted on three counts each for entering an auto, one count for aggravated assault and another six charges each for armed robbery during the second week of February.

The charges were filed related to a series of incidents that occurred in quick succession nearby an area known as "The Falls". This area is located along Brick Mill Road just between Holly Springs and Canton.

The crime spree apparently started on Nov. 13, when the trio robbed some individuals along McClain Street. A little less than two weeks later on Nov. 21, a couple was visiting The Falls around 10:20 p.m. when they were accosted by two male suspects. A third robbery happened on Nov. 26. That's when some other victims were robbed in Canton along Cartersville Street.

In at least one of the cases, one of the male defendants is reported to have broken the rear window on the driver's side of one of the victims' cars. When he did, he asked the individuals for both their cell phones and any money they had. In that particular case, the victims' wallets, gift and debit cards, purses, phones and driver's licenses were all taken by their robber.

The trio is alleged to have also taken part in breaking and entering several parked cars in the area as well between Nov. 24 and 27. The first of those incidents happened at 300 Scott Mill Road. In that case, all three defendants are said to have broken into a 2008 Chrysler minivan. They allegedly took over $1,200 in cash, a briefcase and a passport from that victim.

Two other breaking and entering incidents occurred along New Point Lane in the River Green neighborhood of Canton. In one of those cases, the trio broke into a 2007 Toyota for a Nikon camera. In the other case, a 2003 Chevrolet was burglarized. The trio made off with $80 cash, credit and debit cards and a wallet in that case.

The trio's arraignment is currently scheduled to be held in front of a Cherokee county judge on March 7. If you've been arrested and charged with armed robbery or aggravated assault, then a Canton, Georgia violent crimes attorney can advise you of the potential penalties you're facing in your case.
