3 Cherokee County Armed Robbery Suspects Are Indicted
The Woodstock BB&T was robbed by two men who fled the scene of the crime as the police were arriving on scene. The police chase ensued until the two men crashed into a police vehicle at an intersection and were unable to continue driving. The police officer who prompted the crash chased the two on foot until detaining both Rene Rivera Medina and Jose Luis Sandoval.
The two men were reported to have robbed a man at gunpoint and to have been carrying a .32 caliber pistol. The other gun was not identified. The grand jury indicted the two men on two counts of armed robbery and aggravated assault, one count of possession of a fire arm during the commission of a felony, one count of fleeing or attempting to elude police, and one count of obstruction of an officer.
